3pm it won't be too bad at all on HWY 101 N. It gets much more congested after 5:00. KGO Newstalk 810 on AM band (known for its weather and traffic on the 8s). Should be only about 30-40 min. at most. Van Ness Ave is the main route to Cow Hollow with limited left turns (Lombard Street is the left turn you could take which is nearest to Cow Hollow). You also could turn left to get to Franklin St which goes north with timed lights, using the left onto Geary, then right onto Franklin.

You'll want to stick to 101, but it would probably be a good idea to avoid Van Ness Avenue.

From SFO, I recommend this routing: http://tinyurl.com/2dev54b

If traffic on the freeway become a problem, use this alternative route instead: http://tinyurl.com/25kebry

Left and u-turns are restricted on Lombard Street during afternoon rush hour, so if your hotel is on the south side of the street you will have to turn left from Franklin Street onto Greenwich Street instead and then circle the block.
