AT&T Park to Grant Plaza hotel...walk at night?

We are going to a Friday night game at AT&T park in mid July and are staying at the Grant Plaza hotel. We do not have a car. I would love recommendations on the best way to get there (4 adults) and the best way to get back to hotel after the game. I have never been to SF so details would be helpful. If we walked, is it an easy stroll? Uphill? Safe? Thanks so much!!

It is a very far walk so I'd recommend that you take the #30 or #45 MUNI bus to/from from going from Stockton & Sutter to Townsend & 4th ST. - returning you get the bus at 3rd & Brannan Street (walk from AT&T park is 7-10 min) to Sutter & Kearny Street; $2/per adult and always take a transfer as a receipt

It's about a mile and half walk, about 30 minutes' walk for average walkers. You could certainly do it, but it would more than a stroll--taking Muni is good advice.

Or you can catch the Muni Metro right in front of the ballpark. It runs above ground around The Embarcadero and then underground at Market Street. Exit at Montgomery or Powell.

There will be lots of people leaving the ballpark and walking or catching public transit. You'll be fine.
