Dinner around Fisherman's Wharf

Any suggestions on restaurants for dinner around the Wharf? I know it is tourist-y and not usually a recommended area for dinner, but we have a tight schedule and am not sure if we have time to go somewhere else and get back. But I'm open if those who know think it is possible. We'll return from Sausalito around 3 and will take the Alcatraz tour at 6. We'd like to explore the Wharf and possibly Ghiradelli Square in between. We won't have long so need reservations (that are prompt) or something somewhat quick. I'm not a big seafood fan, but other than that we're open. Around $20-30 price range. Thanks!

So ... you want to go to dinner before Alcatraz? That's awfully early for dinner, some places shut down between lunch and dinner service.

Perhaps have a late lunch and then dinner in North Beach after Alcatraz? Most things at the Wharf, bad as they are, are seafood.

As Sal points out it is tad early for Dinner but you could walk around FW and Ghiradelli Sq and grab something non-seafood that you see. Snack on a few things around that area before walking to Pier 33.

I would look at Scoma's and the Crab House at Pier 39.

Maybe a fast bite at Pier 23, different type of place right above the water, and close to Alcatraz cruise. Prices are right in your range, as a lot of stuff on the Wharf is way over priced.

How about In-and-Out burgers and fries. Delish!

Sounds like you want Happy Hour at McCormick and Kuleto's.

They have a very nice view of the Bay. And they have the best Happy Hour menu around.

McCormick and Kuleto's is located right at Ghirardelli Square too.

We just spent 3 days in Fisherman's Wharf , and managed to have some decent meals ..even in such a "touristy" area... If you just want something quick and good Codmothers (outside seating) offers good Fish n Chips , Fish Tacos. It is on Jones near Beach St..

Pat's Cafe on Taylor near Columbus had terrific breakfasts and is open for lunch and dinner.. and we also thought the food at the Fog City Diner across from Pier 23 was good. Research them and see what people are saying....

You could always just have Ice Cream Sundaes at Ghiardelli's and have a late dinner after the Alcatraz tour.

McCormick & Kuleto's will please both seafood and non-seafood eaters. Or, seriously, who doesn't love In-n-Out??

Not experiencing In-and-Out is my only regret from our trip last month.

In-N-Out is highly overrated.

We need us some White Castles out here.
