Are you visiting SF for a week? Why do you want to stay at the airport for that amount of time? Airport hotels are primarily for people who stay one night on account of early departures or late arrivals.

Are you driving your own car to SF or flying in and renting one? In general we recommend staying in SF to see SF. And not renting a car as public transit in the city is excellent while parking is difficult and/or expensive.

The SF forum has some great Top Questions (right side of screen on a non mobile device). One specifically talks about hotels with free parking. Another has info on areas to stay in the city. Just don't stay at the airport for a week while trying to visit San Francisco; it's 13 miles south and about 4 towns away!

If you are looking for a place to stay prior to a flight, where you can store your car for a week until you return, the El Rancho does get good marks.

If you are looking for a place to stay for a week, pay attention to Sal and every other local. We all want you to stay IN San Francisco, to enjoy the convenience, the saved time, and the unique experience of being right in The City.

OP, can you clarify *why* you're wanting this?

If there's a good reason for you to stay near SFO, then we'll be quiet.

If you're planning on doing it for a "regular" trip to SF, then you're going to get a lot of reasons why this is generally *not* a good idea. (Do we have a Top Question on this topic now?)

Yup. use the top 10 link if you want to check it out on a mobile . LOL

I assumed -- perhaps wrongly -- that the OP is planning a park and ride since he/she is from Ca. But it could be that they love to stay near an airport hotel instead of SF. Not sure why.

Thank you everyone for your quick responses. I am not visiting San Francisco, just looking for cheap parking. Flying out on an early flight and returning on a red eye. Thought that it might make things easier. Most airport hotels seem about $200/ night. I know that I can park for a week for half that.

Thanks again
