reasonable hotel in san francisco

Looking for a reasonable hotel in San Francisco for a family of four with 11 year old twins. Among other things, we are planning to go to the Exploratorium and Alcatraz. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Please tell us what would be "reasonable" for you. San Francisco is expensive and when conventions are in town taking up hotel beds, prices soar. Also tell us what kind of hotel you are looking for....large, full service, small boutique, bare bones, etc. What kind of bed configuration do you need? Will the twins share a queen size bed?, etc. All of the information you can give will help us recommend a suitable hotel.

Ditto above. And give us your exact dates. When a big convention comes through town prices go double and even triple.

Here is a link to the convention calendar. If you are in conflict with any meeting with 10,000 plus prices will heat up. Almost every thing is on this list, but not everything: …sanfrancisco.travel/calendar_public/…
