There are many places like that.

One of my personal favorites is the parking lot on the NORTH end (Sausalito) of the bridge. When crossing the bridge look for the sign "Vista Point" and exit there. It will lead you directly to the parking lot. Views of the SF skyline and bridge are very nice from there.

Another good spot is from Conzelman Rd leading onto the Marin Headlands, also on the north side of the bridge. There are a number of turnoffs from there in which you can park and snap some pics.

Marin Headlands views are fantastic! Here's a link to some good directions for photo viewpoints at the North End of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Vista Point is usually a mob scene. Cars backed up in the lane almost halfway across the Bridge. Go to Crissy FIeld & walk towards the GGB. Photo ops get better with every step.

Depends on time of day and day of week.

Agree with Marin Headlands. Another of my favorite views is from Kirby Cove which is just down the hill from Battery Spencer. You have to walk the mile down the hill (and back up) but it's worth the effort.

Belomiser, it would be wonderful if you could contact Trip Advisor and ask them to put your "Please Read" commends at the top of the forum page. That way we would not have to read your reminder on practically every single question that comes up on this forum.
