Confused between two hotels

My husband and I are visiting Sfo during labor day weekend.

We have a booking at Hotel Rex as well as in Villa Florence but we cannot decide between the two.

Please Advice!

Hmmm, plan on being scolded for calling San Francisco, "SFO", anything other than SF or San Francisco (like San Fran, Frisco, etc) grates on the ears of the locals.....

Personally I like the Hotel Rex better, I think the Villa Florence has slipped from its days as a Kimpton Hotel.

There is some rumblings that the Villa Florence is one of the hotels which have begun adding a mandatory "resort" or "urban" fee without disclosure. You might want to check that before you decide to use them. But I, too, would stay at the Rex. The VF is in a busy and noisy location.

Not a matter of grating on ears of locals. SFO is the airport (like LAX and JFK are airports). Not even in the city of SF, but some people stay in hotels there.

Rex. Would be better IMHO

The issue with SFO is the confusion people have had between SFO the airport and SF the city Getting in a cab at SFO and asking the driver to take you to SFO will get you puzzled looks

Meh.... just tell the cab driver you are thrilled to be in Cali and you want him to take you to the best bread bowl clam chowder in 'Frisco :)

Scott, that grates my nerves :) . But seriously when people put SFO we spend our time giving information from the airport to various places. And the other day the woman was actually wanting directions from SF the city and so we wasted a lot if time to post erroneous nformation. We want it more for clarification reasons.

what criteria are you using poster ? Stanford court is a bit away from the union square area and in the nob hill area. Of the ones i would say orchard, rex handlery and then stanford
