Mandarin Sky Bridge views

Hi All,

Only have a limited time of two days in SF while doing a west coast road trip and want to get some great city views in. Was planning on going up the Coit tower for this, but have read the queues can be pretty bad and as I want to do as much as possible in my limited time, I am thinking quickly going up to the sky bridge will fulfil this!

However, is it even accessible to the public? Or do you need to be a guest? I take the hotel doesn’t want flocks of tourists blocking up the bridge! Any other places to get views would be appreciated too!

Thanks

Link to Top of the Mark evening "light dining" and brunch menus at Mark Hopkins describes it as "light dining." http://topofthemark.com/ At least it has an interesting history theworldofdeej.com/2012/08/top-of-the-mark-s…

Lots of options for views sfgate.com/realestate/slideshow/26-best-view…

Almost all of the top-floor view restaurants have closed; they're just not financially feasible. The ones that are left focus on drinks with "light bites" rather than full meals -- Top of the Mark, The View at the Marriott Marquis, Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake (which is more of a dance club than anything).

There is a bar and steak restaurant (called Leatherneck... although anything with the word "leather" in it is not a good name for a steak place) at the top of the Marine's Memorial Club on Sutter near Mason, but it's only on the 11th floor or thereabouts, so not a spectacular view.
