Tim C., who I believe wrote the Following [posted to rec.travel.europe], doesn't quite speak for me but he's close enough:

«From me ("the wishor") to you ("hereinafter called the wishee").

Please accept without obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, politically correct, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within themost enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of yourchoice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for thereligious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, ortheir choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

a financially successful, personally fulfilling and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2007, but with due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures or sects whose contributions to society have helped make the European Union great, (not to imply that the European Union is necessarily greater than any other union or is the only "EUROPEAN UNION" in the western hemisphere), and having regard to the race, creed, colour, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform or dietary preference of the wishee.

Merry Christmas Oskar! I always enjoy your level headed posts. Thanks for sending the sun back to our hemisphere, as well. We can always use the heat, with our coolish climate, in SF.
