Trip report arches/canyonlands/Mesa verde

Trip report Arches/Canyonlands/Mesa verde.

We are a couple in mid thirties. NO children. We had a great vacation in Moab/Mesa verde region.

Thanks to all of you for all the advise and suggestions. couldnt have done it without the help of you guys.

From May 10th to May 15th we stayed at Inca inn Moab.

May 10th: Flight from Newark, NJ to GJT. Arrived around noon. we took the 128. Very scenic drive. Multiple stops for pictures.

Dinner at Moab brewery - It was good.

Didnt do anything today as we were very tired.

Weather was cloudy.

May 11th: It was rainy in the morning till around 10 am. Had breakfast by the time it stopped raining. Started for the Devil's garden. Took the pictures of all the arches on the way but as soon as reached the top of the cliff after the climbing the steep ledge it started raining again and harder so had to turn back. But it was fine. I dont want to be at the top when it is raining badly as the rocks were slippery after the rain.

Picnic lunch

Dinner: Moab Diner - It was good

May 12th:

We covered all the lookout points in Arches in the morning

There is trail near the entrance of the park called courthouse wash. Not sure if was a trail or not as I saw parked cars. We walked till we reached the bottom of the mountain but i cudnt see anyone or any trail so we didnt

Glad to see you planned so much time in the parks and enjoyed the trip. I love how you gave that many days to Mesa Verde. Good job.

We love spending time in the parks. After staying and working in NJ/NY. I try to go to the national parks for vacation for peace and quiet.
