Big Bend in May

I was wondering if it would be too hot in Big Bend in mid-May for hiking. This is the only time I have to go so I was wondering if I should choose another NP that has a milder climate or just go for it. Thanks for your input!

It will be hot (check weatherunderground history.) You can hike, the main thing - hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

We just returned (Feb 25), it was 86 degrees in Rio Grande Village.

We went April 26-27 and it was about 95 for a couple hours in the afternoon, but perfect for shorter hikes in the morning and evening, and 60-65 at night. I don't think we ever saw 10 people at any one time.
