Asheville visit

Just left the area to get away from the 110 heat index at home. Enjoyed the 70 degree weather. We stayed at the sleepinn west and enjoyed our stay there, I thought the beds were firm and my wife liked them.$70.00 range. Two meals we enjoyed downtown were bistro 186 at night and and chai pani for lunch. We would go back to either. We ate at the Biltmore Estate Deer Park and had a great flank steak. Enjoyed the estate and gardens, We payed the extra $10.00 for the audio and thought it was worth it. We will go back in the spring some year to see the gardens in full bloom. Toured the wine facilities and my wife did the free wine tasting, she wasn't impressed but it didn't include thier premium wines. There was alot to do downtown and it didn't feel like an Atlanta rush. Will go back another year after we visit other places in the country.

Thanks for sharing. Curious - was there a long line for the wine tasting? We visit only in Spring & Fall, & the lines are really long...

Glad you enjoyed the change from Atlanta. You will find that on your return trip there is lots more fun things to do beyond Biltomore.

The gardens at the Biltmore are stunning in May. The azaleas are just phenomenal. Glad you had a good visit. Hope to see you here again.
