Breakfast / Dinner choice suggestions ???

We will be visiting and need to make some choices for our dining .

For breakfast, we have 4 open days and our choices are between :

Tupelo Honey

Corner Kitchen

City Bakery

Sunny Point Cafe

Pisgah Inn

Which would you leave off ?

For dinner we have 3 nights and our choices are between:

Govewood Cafe

Cedric's Tavern

Zambra

Bouchon

Again...which to choose ???

Also, awhile back we read about the McNinch House in Charlotte. Has anybody been recently and can they recommend - or not.

Thanks so much.

mamameow,

for my tastes, Tupelo Honey is overrated and I dont like the crowds and the wait, but the biscuits and pancakes sure are good. City Bakery is not much of a "destination" for breakfast..you'd be underwhelmed. Another good choice downtown Asheville is Over Easy..breakfast til 3..

For dinner, Cedrics Tavern will seem overpriced, especially if you're not already on the Biltmore property. Zambra and Bouchon are both good choices as long as you understand they are not "fine dining", but more eclectic bistro...the food and wine selections are great.

Mangonboat....thank you SO much for your advice.

As far as dinner goes - we are not really "looking" for fine dining. Zambra & Bouchon sound right up our alley.

Breakfast will be included at our hotel, but we really prefer to use that as a last resort if there are no other breakfast options. We usually try to look for something "unique" to the area.

Thanks again.

You might add Early Girl Eatery to your breakfast list. Very good.

I also like Early Girl Eatery. They offer some out-of-the-ordinary breakfast options like fried trout, grilled salmon, jalapeno cheese grits., and kids of all ages love to draw with crayons on the craft paper table coverings.

Consider for dinner:

1) Curate'

2) Lemone's

3) If you are in Weaverville, go to WellBread Bakery for lunch and delicious bakes goods.

4) The LAB is good also. Lexington Ave Brewery
