eating our way through Asheville

Wife and I are planning a one week trip to Asheville. We like food. I thought I would post our meal plans here and see if anyone has suggested changes. We would be grateful for any advice.

Dinners: Limones, Curate, Admiral, Plant Vegan, Rezas, and Cuccina 24.

Sunday Brunch: Corner Kitchen

Breakfasts: Early Girl Eatery, Tupelo Honey, Sunny Point Café.

Other food: Eating Asheville walking tour.

(I know - it is a lot of food - but you only live once, as far as I know, and we can diet when we get home).

Thanks for any advice.

Enjoy a brew at The Lexington Avenue Brewery.

Curate and Limones are awesome. Hope you have reservations.

You can also do Brews Cruise and the Asheville Pubcycle if you're into breweries. There are many in the area.

These are the places to eat in Asheville RIGHT NOW....

Looks good so far. Think I would check out Over Easy as a breakfast option. Go early to these places to avoid long wait, ESPECIALLY Tupelo Honey (long line of tourists)

MIght ought to check out -

The Chocolate Lounge

The Battery Park Book Exchange for a glass of wine/champagne

Zambras

Sunday suppers at Rezaz

Lots of local beer here - Cheers!

The Junction

Creperie behind Bouchon (don't miss the fries!)

Food truck lot on Coxe Avenue

a beer and a snack at the Wayside (old train depot in Biltmore Village is fun- basic pub food. Good and

usually several local beers on tap)

Enjoy!

All good choices. I would figure out a way to bump Chestnut into my starting lineup, and would feel unfulfilled if I made a foodie trip to Asheville without getting me some 12 Bones ribs.

There's not a heck of a lot, in my opinion. West First is always where I go. Tasty wood fired food.

There is no shortage of good food and restaurants in the Asheville area.

Weaverville has 2 of my favorites: Stoney Knob Cafe/Merrimon Ave( "Cuisine from near and far."). Brunch is only served on Sunday, Lunch and Dinner Mon-Sat. If you plan on dinner make sure you call for a reservation. We will drive over the mountain just to eat there. Ask if Erin is working a favorite wait staff.

Well Bred Bakery/Main Street: Wonderful pastries and treats. They also serve "light" meals, sandwiches, assorted salads, soups, quiche. This is the place if you need a picnic for the parkway etc...

Weaverville also has a Blue Ridge Parkway access.

Enjoy
