Asheville to Bryson City

We will be traveling from Asheville to Bryson City on a Tuesday morning in mid October. We have to be in Bryson City by 8:30 a.m. Google says the trip will take an hour and fifteen minutes via the Smoky Mountain Expressway. For those of you that have traveled this route is that amount of time about right? Thanks.

Sounds about right to me. May take 15 minutes longer than that.

Yes, there shouldn't be much traffic going that direction and that's normally the right amount of time. BUT.....fog can be a real issue especially around Canton. That would seriously change the time. Pay attention to local reports and adjust accordingly.
