Tobin Memmorial Bridge Boston & Logan airport.

Hi Folks,

Could anyone tell me please'

Is the Tobin bridge pedestrianised?

and-

We will be staying in the Admiral hill area of Boston- would we have noise problems (at Night) with the aircraft?

Do the planes fly all night?

appreciate any info.

Thanks

No, you can't walk on the Tobin.

I don't know, you'll need to find out if the place has sufficient sound proofing. If not it plane noise could definitley be a problem.

Admiral's Hill is in the city of Chelsea, which borders Boston. Planes sometimes fly that way, but it really depends on the weather and wind the direction they will be flying for take off and landing. Take offs are louder than landings.

A relative spent a couple of weeks in rehab place in Admiral's Hill after knee replacement in 2016. It was summer time and we often sat outside when I visited. I do not recall airplane noise then, but it does vary.
