Logan to Long Wharf

What is the best (fastest/cheapest) way to make the trip from Logan Airport to a hotel near Long wharf tonight? My flight lands around 8:30pm. Will the traffic be busy? What might a cab cost? Is the subway safe at that hour of night?

You can also take a water taxi. Cost is $10 a person. Take the courtesy bus marked "Dock" or "Water Taxi". On the boat, tell them you want Long Wharf.

The subway is safe. You need to take the courtesy bus marked "Subway" to the Blue Line Subway Station. Get off at Aquarium Station.

I'd jump on the subway. The water taxi is nice but costs more.
