Red Sox Tickets

We are coming to Boston for the Boston Marathon and would like to see a Red Sox game while we're in town.

I tried looking for tickets for April 22, but the web site alternates between saying that the ticketing service isn't currently available, and the system says there are no tickets available for the game.

Would they be sold out already and is there any other (legal) way to get tickets?

Thanks!

The tickets pretty much sell out for the season as soon as they're put up for sale. As you've been told, your only source now will be ticket agents like StubHub.

You are coming during prime time -- Marathon Monday, Patriot's Day, School Vacation Week. In addition to Stubhub some other options include: continuing to try the website or box office as tickets continue to get released, trying Red Sox Replay where season ticket holders resell their tickets and you pay a fee, standing in line the day/night of the game for the release of additional tickets. Good luck!

As others have said, once Red Sox tickets go on sale, whoooosh they are gone.

You, however, are quite lucky. The game you want to see has quite a few tickets available for less than $50 apiece on stubhub.com. (Just keep in mind they will tack on a 15% per ticket fee to help you with your calculations.) Some pretty reasonably priced tix in Grandstand 6.

Another good thing...Sox are playing the Dodgers so you'll get to see former New York Yankees Manager Joe Torre. It's always good to see him.

And the Dodgers are essentially the West Coast version of the Red Sox: Bill Mueller, Nomar Garciaparra, Derek Lowe and company will get a very warm reception in Fenway.
