Summer flight Denver to Boston

Need to get to Boston from Denver in July, and the cost of posted flights right now are more than I'm willing to spend.

Any tips/inside info on discount or local carriers that may offer this route, or when would be good timing as to when prices for the usual airlines for this route may come down a bit?

Will certainly consider alternative airports for Boston such as Manchester, NH, Providence, RI, Hartford, CT, etc.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Unfortunately the DEN-BOS route is a major route and July is smack in the middle of summer vaca time. Given the price of jet fuel and demand it's going to be tough.

Southwest flies into both Manchester and Providence; Hartford is too far out and too small to make it worth your while. Check Alaska Airlines as well; I think they fly through DEN. But here's the issue: are you coming to Boston to be in Town or are you ultimately outside the city center? That will dictate your choice more, it seems to me. Ground transpo + cost of flight might be = to flight into Logan.

There is now a free shuttle from Manchester Airport to Boston. (Sullivan Station)

Southwest to Manchester then hop on the free shuttle. It's about 2 hours and takes you right to the subway. The ride can be a little scary (they drive shuttles like they're Porsches).
