Islands near Boston.

Yesterday I was in Quincy on my way to Sea St. I passed this sea wall with the Boston sky line and a bunch of islands off in the distance. What are those islands? Is there anything to do on them?

The Boston Harbor Islands are now a national park. There are things to do on each one. George's Island is known for its Civil War Era fort, Spectacle Island - a newly created nature preserve (with cleaned dirt from the Big Dig project), Light house tours on Little Brewster island, camping on various islands....

The ferry service to the islands just ended this past weekend but starts up again in early May.

sedum37, thanks for the information. As I went by there yesterday morning at 6:15 am I looked over and it was just so beautiful. I only wish it had been a clear day. I'll have to check into that for next summer.
