Does any one know of any consignment stores in and around Boston; looking for all kinds-clothing, furnishings, etc.

Boomerang's in JP isn't a consignment shop, per se... it's a fundraising store that sells "gently used" items. It might be what you're looking for from a customer standpoint, but not as a "seller".

You're right, I didn't mean just consignment stores, used furniture, etc stores are all included!

Thanks, where is JP?

Google "Garment District" in Cambridge for vintage clothing.

There are several Children's Orchard consignment stores in Massachusetts, selling children's clothing, toys, furniture, etc. childrensorchard.com/component/…

Thanks, but I guess I should narrow it down, not looking for children's items.

I love Poor Little Rich Girl in Davis Square. They have another, smaller location on Newbury Street.

Second Time Around on Newbury Street is okay.

There's one in Harvard Square whose name is escaping me. It's right next to Charlie's Kitchen.

Anybody know if all those used / antique furniture places are still in Alston? I haven't been to that area for quite some time.

By far, I've had the most luck at Boomerang's in Jamaica Plain, too. I've gotten everything from coats to candles to books and desk chairs there. Urban Renewals on Brighton Ave in Allston is large, but the quality of their merchandise can range from poor-to-good. And for higher-end clothing & shoes, The Closet on Newbury St is consistently good (and they're nice).
