Travel to Omni Parker House

We will be arriving at the airport and taking the blue T line into the city. What is the best station (State St or Government Centre) for ease of walking to Omni Parker House with luggage on wheels ?

Thanks

I think Gov't Center is a bit closer.

Just so you know, you will need to take an airport shuttle bus from the terminal to the Airport stop on the Blue Line. Another option is to take the Silver Line bus right from the terminal to South Station, then transfer to the Red Line to go 2 stops to Park Street. The hotel is a quick walk from Park.

Either way will work.

Forgot to mention that Government Center station does not have an elevator (lift). State Street has elevators only to/from certain parts of the station. If you've got heavy luggage, that could be a consideration, though neither station is terribly deep and you can generally take wheeled luggage on the escalators without much trouble. Park Street Station has elevators.

You could always take a water taxi from the airport, which arrives near the Boston Harbor Hotel, and then walk to the Parker House, about 10 minutes, though I don't know the price. On a nice day it would be fun though. Otherwise, if you can afford it, skip the T (metro), or bus, all together and take a cab. It isn't that far, which you probably know already, and it will in the end save you a lot of hassle from your flight. You've already fought thru enough with the flight, security checks, getting your luggage, etc., why sweat it anymore!!

Good luck and have fun

Thank you both for the advice and suggestions.

As we are staying in New York we will only be travelling with light luggage to Boston so a station with escalators will be fine.

The trip across Boston Harbour (on a beautiful day) sounds like a great way to arrive .

Thanks
