lunch back bay/copley area

HI

Looking for a few places to have lunch. I don't want to go to a chain such as Legal seafood etc...There are too many places to try...looking for some recommendations. Thanks!

What kind of restaurant are you looking for? What price range?

My personal faves are:

- Pazzo (Italian) on Newbury

- La Voile (French) on Newbury

- Stephanie's on Newbury

Maybe Tapeo on Newbury Street? This is Spanish tapas food, so it's different. They have the sidewalk cafe thing going, too. Parish Cafe on Boylston Street.

I vote for Stephanie's on Newbury Street. Daisy Buchanan's - a louder crowd. Sonsie is also a fav. There's the reliable Capitol Grille. All are on Newbury Street - Stephanie's and Daisy offer sidewalk dining. I believe that Sonsie opens their front on warm days.

Sonsie for the good food and "see and bee seen" atmosphere.

Vlora for hidden gem. Gorgeous atmosphere, fantastic Mediterranean food. Location on Boylston Street, basement level.

Sorellina for a splurge.

Chili Duck for Thai.

Kashmir for delicious Indian buffet and outdoor seating.

Sorellina is great, but not open for lunch.

I second Vlora and La Voile. I recently had lunch at the latter (after only having been there for dinner) and loved it. Such a pretty room, too.

If you want something more casual, I really like Bottega Fiorentina on Newbury and the Parrish Cafe is always reliable.

I've got to say, the idea of eating food at Daisy Buchanans makes me queasy.
