I love Trip Advisor because you guys have so much info to offer and so many tips. Hubby & I went to Boston over the weekend. Stayed at the Courtyard Mariott at Logan Airport using their shuttle service back and forth to the airport to catch the subway. Friday night, great dinner at Bacco in the North End. Then had to go to Modern Pastry and wait on line for a fab canoli and a piece of keylime pie. Sat eating it in Quincy Market outside of Cheers open bar area watching the Red Sox game. Sat was early into town & took the City Trolley Tour. Use your AAA card for a discount. $32.00 each for the hour tour and unlimited on and off all day. Also took advantage of the 45 min harbor tour it our ticket came with. Beautiful view of Boston from the boat. Took the Swan boats and ate lunch at Tia's for a great lobster special at $13.95 and some excellent New England clam chowder. Great dining outside and people watching by the harbor. A little shopping at Quincy Market & then back to the hotel to clean up for Red Sox game. Extremely easy to get to Fenway and the game was very exciting. Didn't even mind the prices for hotdogs and drinks - didn't seem too exhorbatant. Getting out of there and packed onto the T with all the other fans was a bit hectic and hot but made it back safe and sound. Found Boston to be extremely safe and the people very friendly and willing to help out a tourist at every turn. Sunday slept in and took advantage of the hotels fab outdoor pool and lounge chairs and late checkout. Off to the airport at 12:45 and home. Had been to Boston 20 years ago and did the whole Freedom Walk which was a great way to see all the historic sites. But since we did that already once, the trolley was the way to go for us to see it this time.
