Where to eat, first night - no booking?

We arrive on a Friday lunchtime but do not wish to make a booking for an evening meal on the first evening as may not be hungry after a long haul flight or may even be delayed! But if we did want to eat where should we aim for that doesnt require reservations? Staying near the Aquarium. Many thanks.

There is a Legal's right in front of the aquarium and you will be fine walking in without a reservation. The North End is 5 minutes away and you'll find something there as well.

Read up on some North End threads on this forum.

Quincy Market is across the street and has a decent food court.

The Sel de la Terre near the Aquarium has a lovely little take out shop just inside the entrance. You could get a nice bowl of soup, a sandwich on great bread or other light bite there. Perfect for taking back to your room!

The also have wonderful breakfast ideas if you want something quick and light in the morning or if one of your crew is an early riser.

Yes, Sel dele Terre and a Legals are very close to your hotel. I don't know how busy they will be, but, why not make a reservation and just cancel if you change your mind? Reservations can be made on opentable.com.
