This is more about your thoughts. I can tell you the Park Plaza is actually better situated in a more central location. The Commonwealth is a little away from the more popular tourist areas.
Park plaza is a very nice hotel. It is minutes from The Public Garden and Newbury Street.
The Lenox is a very nice hotel in an excellent location with good service. The Commonwealth is the newest of the hotels you mention. It is right in front of the Kenmore subway stop but not as centrally located as the other two. The Park Plaza is a huge old hotel with elegant common areas. Like most old hotels reports are that some rooms are better and/or larger than others. I don't know what Tower Rooms ares. If prices were about equal between these hotels I would choose the Lenox.
I also booked the Park Plaza for about $130 per night. Headed out Jul 6th.
The only problem with the Park Plaza is that it is an older hotel so many of the rooms are very small but it's in an ideal location.
Thank you all.
The Tower rooms are a Concierge Floor with perks-- hor's d'ouvres, snacks and drinks, continental breakfast, too. The location info is good to know.
That sounds nice, try to get a room on the Saint James Street side.
So now that I've booked my trip to Boston I need some opinions on a day trip. I'm not renting a car so my options would be to take the ferry over to the Cape or venture up north on the train. Which sounds more exciting to you guys?
