Red Sox - night or afternoon game?

The Sox are playing at night and in the afternoon the weekend we are visiting. I am leaning toward getting tickets for the night game as it will free up one of our afternoons. However, the night game is the day we fly in, which makes for a long day. Is either a day or night game a significantly better experience than the other? We are very casual baseball fans... Thanks

Personally I prefer night games but it's really personal preference. It'll also give you time to do stuff during the day like you mentioned.

I'd go for the day game, starting late august it can actually get cool at the park during the evening.

Speaking from experience, go to the first night game available after you get up the next day. Have some breakfast @ Friendly Toast in over in Cambridge, hit The Cheese Shop over in the North End for a fab lunch & sights and then few beers at The Baseball Tavern in the afternoon then voila....it's game time!

but then again day & night games at Fenway are like no other - you'll enjoy either one.

First thought would be which game could I get decent seats for without paying a premium price. Second thought, are you early birds or night owls.

Whichever one you choose it is about a 3 hour commitment. So the 1:35 game means it's over around 4:30 or 5; the 7:10 game around 10 or 10:30. Really a personal choice.

Unless it's a televised NNY game. In which case, these games tend to drag on until midnight!
