Michelin star lunches

My husband really wants to eat at a Michelin star restaurant, so we are considering a price fixe lunch.

Any recommendations?

We are not keen on sushi, Indian, Thai food etc, but happy for all other suggestions!

Thanks!

Well, it's certainly a subjective thing, but my choice would be Craigie on Main or Menton, although I'm not sure they do lunch. L'Espalier if you want French.

There aren't any Michelin star restaurants in Boston.

Here's the list for the United States:

I don't believe that Michelin rates Boston restaurants ( I don't see red guides for Boston on their website), so I imagine you'd be happy with just a fine dining recommendation? The US equivalent of Michelin is the Forbes Travel Guide and they list one 5-star and a few 4-star places.

The 5-star place is Menton. That is an excellent choice. Unfortunately they are not open for lunch. I don't believe any of the other places on Forbes' list or my own list are open for lunch.

If you can switch your plans for dinner here would be my choices, in approximate order:

L'Espalier http://www.lespalier.com/

Craigie on Main http://www.craigieonmain.com/

Menton http://www.mentonboston.com/

I didn't think I could find any, but thought I was just missing them! Think we will just make the most of NYC! Thanks for the tips for nice restaurants though!

Any good recommendations for a lobster roll somewhere along the freedom trail? Really looking forward to lunch!

I had a great lobster roll at Parker's Bar at the Omni Parker House and also a fantastic mojito :)

I second Neptune's Oyster. The Mr & I still talk about the lobster roll we enjoyed there in 2008. We are looking forward to an encore this summer!

It looks pretty good that place, but is there anywhere you would recommend where we can get them hot to takeaway?

I did a quick search, but most posts are years old, so don't know what has changed.

Thanks!
