Quick USS Constitution/extended Freedom trail advice needed

Walked Copley Square and 1st half of Freedom Trail yesterday. 12 year old's legs were tired so we took T (have passes for family) back from State St station to Arlington Station (Revere Hotel).

Want to do 2nd half of Freedom Trail today. Thought about tours but they don't do tha section until 2:30. That section looks like a long walk to go from Faneul Hall to the USS Constituion and back. Also, does Const. get more crowded as day goes on? Should we taxi from Revere to Const., see it, then walk back the Freedom Trail and then eat in North End? Just walk both ways?Thoughts?

Getting there early is a good idea. In addition to taking a taxi, there is the inner harbor ferry which leaves from Long Wharf and goes to the Navy Yard. It is covered by your T pass.

Thanks Ting. Looks like I would take the Blue Line to Aquarium then walk to South Long Warf (sorry. learning the city). Assume the ferry doesn't take real long - hope the 7 day T pass works. I'll see what the family wants to do.

Yes--Aquarium is the station closest to Long Wharf. Or take a cab to Charlestown and return by boat. Save those feet! It's not a long trip and it's fun to be out on the water. You can check the schedule (it runs pretty often) on www.mbta.com

I had not yet discovered that the ferry is covered by the T pass. Good tip to know; thanks! It's always fun to get out on the water, even if it is just a short jaunt.

Willcun,

Only a Charlie link pass (a daily link pass or weekly link pass) the paper ticket that cannot be shared -with a date on it, is acceptable for the inner-harbor ferry Long Wharf to Charlestown.

(The plastic Charlie Card and a regular Charlie paper ticket that can be loaded and shared is NOT acceptable.)
