Sounds about right. You can take a cab from the pool. As long as it's not near the end of a shift, you should have willing takers.

You don't book in advance unless you know a good local lynnfield cab company. Just walk out the terminal on the lower level and you'll see the cab stand.

There's never an issue getting a cab at Logan. Best to make sure the cabbie knows the area and is enthused about going before you get in.

yeah, be sure to ask the cabbie if he/she is enthused about driving to Lynnfied. :-) what on earth are you guys talking about? If they are waiting for fares at Logan I am sure they are expecting to drive someone somewhere. :-)

Thomas,

Just so you know, most of the cabs are rentals for a shift, so long hauls at the "wrong" time can become problematic. Obviously, that wouldn't be an issue with an owner/operator, but most taxis aren't.

Sometimes a long run may entail the cabbie fueling up. There'll be plenty of cabs in line, best to be up front where you're going so you get a cabbie who won't whine.

certainly wouldn't want a disgruntled driver for the 25 minute drive to Lynnfield!

Good idea. Not to nitpick, but it's the round-trip we're talking about.

when you go to a restaurant, do you ask if the chef feels like cooking? :-)

Thanks! No advance booking necessary but will ask before I get in the cab to make sure lynnfield is not a problem and hopefully, it won't be!
