Hello, who doesn't love Sam Adams? I sure do! But wanted to know what else is unique and local for draft beer in the pubs near Copley? Or maybe I should do something in Fenway area...

Look for any beer from Pretty Things.

You could try the Lower Depths Tap Room in Kenmore Square. They have an ever changing list and very knowledgable staff.

OK, if you like beer and you want a wide selection from not only MA but around the world, go to the Sunset Grill in Allston. It is a beer lovers' paradise.

Also as mentioned, the Harpoon brewery has a brand new German-style beer hall which is a lot of fun.

Boston Beer Works is a brew pub that makes their own. There's one by Fenway and one by the North Station/Boston Garden. Food is decent by pub standards too. Same goes for Rock Bottom which is in the Theatre District.

The Sunset Grill mentioned above is amazing for beer selection. They also have decent food.

why not try some place with its own microbrewery? I don't know enough to give you expert advice but I do know I enjoyed the Rockbottom selection (Stuart Street opposite Radission hotel or whatever it's caled now) and also John Harvard brewhouse at the Garage, Harvard Square. Okay I know it's not technically in Boston cos it's across the river, but an easy red line T ride away for somewhere different.

I'll second Ramblin' Dan and Boston Zest's recommendations. You might consider Redbone's in Davis Square. It'd not downtown, but an easy T ride for excellent local beers and great BBQ.

What about some authentic beer near Fenway? I really think Boston Beer Works is a good spot. Anything else?
