End of Day Three Trip Report

Heading back to Cambridge was a bit of a long drive. There was a lot of traffic until we got back to out hotel. It took about a hour and a half. We arrived back at out hotel, freshened up and headed to

The North End. We took the T with no problems at all. We walked thru the streets and we decided we would eat at Benevento's. It was very good. We ordered a pizza and each had a drink. I think our bill was about $33.00. Afterwards we were on the lookout for Mikes Pastry shop. Heard lots of good things on here about it and also was recommended by the front desk at the hotel and the hostess at the restaurant. As expected the bakery we bought was out of this world. I did expect more than just food places in The North End but I am glad we went.

We walked back to the T station and went back to our hotel. WE had a very long fun filled day.

There is some history in the North End as well. Paul Revere's House, Old North Church. But mostly, it's food. Restaurants, bakeries, specialty stores.

There's some boutiques and a great hardware store (really!) but they aren't opened at night.
