Restaurants

I suspect that because Boston is on the water there is probably amazing seafood everywhere. While we love shellfish, I'm allergic to fish and even the fishiness in the air when walking along a pier can make me puke. Are there any restaurants that would serve more shellfish than fish? (I know the restaurants don't smell like fish, but if someone at the table next to us has fish I'll very likely end up very sick)

Also, can anyone recommend very local places to eat (even if it isn't seafood)? In my experience high rated restaurants on Yelp and TA are typically overrated or not that great in general. We are typically informal diners, it's pretty rare for us to do white cloth dinners. Things we can just pop in without fuss are ideal or things we can grab and go.

Thanks in advance.

This seems very confusing to me. You can eat shellfish but not regular fish? And just the smell of fish makes you sick? I'd avoid a seafood restaurant in that case. Most regular restaurants also offer fish. So, you could be at a steak house and someone might get baked cod or haddock. If you like Italian, I'd suggest you eat in the north end. There are so many great restaurants, you really can't go wrong.

Yeah I'm allergic to fish, avocados, flowers, bees, watermelon, and bleach. It's wonderful and I'm also lactose intolerant. I can eat crab, lobster, clams, mussels, and octopus without any illness. I am prone to getting GOUT though so I can't eat too much seafood either. It's very annoying.

Try James Hook & Co by the waterfront. Fresh seafood with decent price. I went to this awesome little restaurant called Fresh Catch (located in Mansfield). SUper fresh seafood at a very decent price.
