Travel channel chowdown countdown

Does anyone know the name of the place that was on this show with the 32 oz prime rib? Also when coming what else should we see, eat and do?

When are you coming, who is in your group and what do you like to eat besides beef? In order to recieve the best help you need to give a few details.

For many the Children's Museum and ice skating on Boston Common are top priorities but that is pretty useless advice if you don't have kids and are planning a July visit.

Also looks like the giant prime rib is Durgin Park ... A Boston institution with a very varied menu. I cannot seem to get a direct link to post, but if you google "travel channel Boston prime rib" you will find it

Thanks, two married couples not sure if we will bring our kids ( yr and a half, 9 months and 7) or if we will do an adult trip. Sometime over the summer months. To eat we like all stuff really seafood, burgers, steak. We like places that are neat and offer neat things or serve in neat ways. Also outside seating would be nice. Thanks!!!

The hotel with the chocolate buffet is the Langham in downtown Boston (I believe). Outdoor eating? There are lots of places, but they tend to be in clusters. There are some nice views now from restaurants in the Seaport area, including the roof of the Legal Seafoods right on the water in the Seaport. (Note: there are a lot of Legal Seafoods around the Boston area, so be careful you don't get directions to the wrong one. ) Also lots of outdoor cafes on Newbury Street (Back Bay, Boston) although not all of the food there is worthwhile. Also Harvard Square (check out the pretty outdoor terrace at the Charles Hotel -- part of it visible from the street, but a lot more of it is "behind" the main building). And Faneuil Hall area.
