VERY kid friendly place for dinner

We have booked the Seaport Boston Hotel and are going to take the kids to the Children's Museum. Our kids are 3 and 4 1/2. The older one is fine. The younger one is going to need a walk...and may require mom to get her dinner to go! :) Someone needs to open a restaurant with a Gymboree attached to it, and I'd be all set! LOL! OK but on the off chance that we think dinner out might be possible, I'm starting to look for restaurants that are super kid friendly (like loud, fast, lots of other kids there) and close to where we'll be. Any suggestions? Or should we head to the food court at Quincy Market?!

Head to Quincy Market. They'll love it.

Food court is not a bad idea. But, Durgin Park is pretty loud. Yea, everyone will tell you it is a tourist trap but so what. still gets packed. More upscale Legal Seafood Harborside is pretty loud. Also, Clarkes at Fanueil Hall. Loud pub atmosphere. Not sure these are fast or lots of kids especially. Our local McD's and chick fil-a have playgrounds but not sure there is one downtown.

No playgrounds in McDonalds in the city.

For an early dinner take a look at Bertucci's in the Quincy Market area. Our daughter started going there when she was about that age. They used to give little ones crayons to draw on the placemats and a small piece of dough to play with. She's older now, so I don't know if they still do that. I'd recommend getting there before the after-work crowd - might be busy with more adults by then. Definitely see a lot of families there on weekends. Good children's menu and decent food for the adults.

If you're coming in the summer you could take a walk around Castle Island and eat at Sully's. It's a take out place (think hamburgers/hotdogs/grilled cheese) and super cheap.

I have 2 year old & a 5 year old & totally get the challenge of eating out. We love City Landing which is just down the street from your hotel, around the corner from the Aquarium. They have an great kids menu, offer lots of things to color, kids cups, big enough restaurant to not feel like you are bothering others & outdoor seating in good weather. PLUS, they have really nice food for adults & lovely cocktails...which might be necessary to make it through dinner ;)

It's our default spot for meeting another family for a day at the Aquarium & then for a meal. We've been there with 8 kids & 6 adults & never felt we were inconveniencing anyone. http://www.citylanding.com/

Another option around Faneuil Hall is Wagamama if your kids like Japanese noodles or soup (ramen). There's bench-style seating that overlooks the cobble-stones where the kids can run amok until the food arrives. Yum. wagamama.us/restaurants/boston-faneuil-hall

Thank you suzabanana ! Perfect info for us! Will check out City Landing right now! Sounds like a winner. Maybe we can do this, the museum and head over to Sully's for lunch before we head out of town the next day.

City Landing is really not for kids. You're better off with a pubby kind of place already.
