Local attractions that Bostonians don't know about

I am a Boston local and have been to most of the major tourist/ historical attracations in Boston. I am interested in exploring deeper into Boston and looking for reccomendations into interesting attractions that most Bostonians don't know about.

Have you been to Dorchester Heights, to the spot where George Washington drove off the British from the Boston occupation? It's in South Boston, not far from Castle Island.

Is it only Boston specific history you are interested in? Have you been to the Lowell National Park and the Mill and Canal tours there? It's fascinating. Have you ever been to the Slater's Mill historic site in Pawtucket RI? Another fascinating place. What about the house in Cambridge which was George Washington's HQ during the Battle of Boston? Have you been to the John Adams Birthplace (lots of recent discussion about it here)?

You can take a behind the scenes tour of Old North Church and go underneath the church to see the Colonial-era graves of a number of British and Bostonians. This has been on my list for a while.

There is also a relatively new Museum of Medical History and Innovation at MGH.

There are some terrific walks you can do focusing on Women's History and African American History, mostly throughout the Back Bay & Beacon Hill. These are self-guided and provide a different perspective on American history. Also, many people do not visit the Rare Book room of the BPL and there some very interesting things there as there are in the Boston Anthenaeum. Lastly, I don't often see the Longfellow House mentioned here, it is a National Historic Site on Brattle St. in Cambridge (this is the house that served as Washington's HQ as mentioned above)

Lowell has a number of museums, at least one of which I had never heard of until I just now googled "museums in Lowell":

I have never been, but would like to visit the Jason Russell House in Arlington, where Jason Russell and 11 other minutemen were killed on April 19, 1775:
