Labor Day weekend question - driving to Cape Cod

Hi! For all you experts out there, I am hoping that someone can help me decide what day to drive to Cape Cod (near Sandwich) from Boston? We will be in Boston from Thursday to Monday this Labor Day weekend. I was thinking of driving into the Cape Cod area on Sunday? Will traffic be lighter? We are just going to spend the day to get a taste of the Cod. I have read several posts on here that one day is not enough...but unfortunately that is all we have. Thanks!

Sunday is probably fine and if you are just going to sandwich, it is the first exit over the bridge.

But nobody knows the answer --until Monday.

If you're just staying for the day then Sunday is your best bet.

Thank you for your feedback. I suspected Sunday was my better option.
