Sheraton Hotelmarina - transportation question

Just booked the Sheraton Hotel/Marina on a priceline bid...had hoped for the gaslamp area. Is there public transportation from the hotel to the Gaslamp area or does the hop on/off bus/trolley go near the hotel?

What could we expect to pay for a taxi from the cruise terminal to the hotel and/or the hotel to the Horton Plaza area?We have two days in SD and were hoping not to have to rent a car...

Thanks

1. Re: Sheraton Hotelmarina - transportation question

That's the trouble with Priceline!! They include Harbor Island in their downtown hotels.

There is a free shuttle from the hotel to the airport but that is about it!

The hop on hop off bus tour has some pick up arrangements with SOME hotels but I do not know if this Sheraton is included.

www.trolleytours.com They might list it on their web site.

Other than that it is about 3miles to the gaslamp and a taxi will be about

$14+ tip. You could also take the free shuttle to the airport( across the road) and then take a city bus into downtown. Here is the route and schedule for the bus.
