Very nice, good selection of stores.....only about 20-25 minutes from downtown by car. Depends what you are looking for.

I also like Carlsbad Premium Outlets which has a few more upscale stores that Las America does not (i.e. Barneys, Ferragamo).

elchevere: We invited our adult daughters along for part of our stay in San Diego and the first thing they searched out were the outlet stores {sigh} lol. The Las Americas one sounds just fine. Thanks.

Im sure your daughter are aware of the differences between an Outlet store and a brands regular store.

For Regular stores the best shopping area is The Fashion Valley Mall.

Yes, they are aware of what an outlet store is. We have them in Canada too.

My daughter really likes this place, she wants to go back when we will be in SD this summer. Check the website, you have a list of the stores.

Be careful when you plan on visiting the outlets, because of it's extreme proximity to Mexico the traffic can be *AWFUL*.

They are very good and you get to see Mexico (kind of).

More questions?

That's interesting I've never experienced traffic near the outlets in probably 30-40 visits mainly on the weekend but also after work on weekdays.

When and where is traffic awful? Are you referring to rush hour traffic on the 5?

JessicaHaire: We will be careful. We will head down 75 and then connect up with 5.

scottca075: No more questions from me. I've been to Tijuana before and couldn't wait to get out. Looking across the border is perfectly fine with me.
