Restaurant with a city view

I'm looking for a restaurant on top of one of the buildings downtown or high up on a building floor where there is really good views and good food. I'm being picky now but if there is one that also has piano or musician that would be nice as well.

Thanks.

Hi decial - you are limited to 1. Bertrand at MisterA's

There's a bar called Top of the Hyatt with light snacks

The Glass Door has a limited view and I've read varying reviews about their food. I know they've changed chef's a few times. But the view doesn't come close to MisterA's

Fora a large city we actually have a very small downtown with very few tall buildings!

There are more rooftop bars downtown than rooftop restaurants.

As elizzie mentioned the Glass Door has a lovely view...but I'd add it also has the most abysmal service. Which is too bad because it could be a great treasure.

If you want a city view and are willing to sacrifice "rooftop" - maybe Island Prime (looks back toward the city from the harbor) - or one of the Coronado Ferry Landing restaurants which also look across the harbor to the city.

It's not on top of a building but the views from Island Prime / C-Level are tough to beat.

If you dont make it to Mr A's but want drinks on a roof top, Id go to the top of the Andaz because where it is downtown you get probably the best panoramic view of the city, Coronado, bay and ocean from La Jolla all the way to Mexico.
