From JFK to hotel (Comfort Inn Central Park West)

First timers to NY. We planning a trip in late August this year. What the best transportation to our hotel (31 W 71st St)?...taxi?...train?

Thanks for your suggestions

If I recall, there are 4 of you? Take a cab or reserve a car service. None of the public transport options will get you close enough to the hotel. The cab is a flat fare of $45 plus tip and possibly toll.

If just 2 of you are flying in and you're travelling light and on a budget, you could take the Airtrain. Here's all the info

We might opt for the cab. A lot of money, but if taking the Airtrain there will be alot of transfers. We're all adventurous people but we want to get lost on our first day at NY.
