We finally had dinner at Frenchette and food was excellent. Nicely done Art Deco ambience. One drawback was the unbearable noise which one eventually gets inured to. Terrible choice in sparkling water offered as Catalan Vichy is so high in sodium content; that and poor choice in steak knives. They should have stuck to Laguiole. Hopefully lunch tables are easier get.
One can’t go wrong with Via Carota, The Grill, Cote, Le Coucou.
Yeah, i think it is a pretty decent list.
I like the essential 38 because it has a wide variety of types, cuisines, neighborhoods, prices, and age of the restaurants....its always a good way to see a general view of what is happening in a city....
aka, I always check out eater to start my research to get a good feel....
That list was interesting, I wish I could get my friends to be a little more adventurous! hahahaEdited: 12 October 2018, 17:25
Rubbish - eat where they serve food you like/love. NYC has endless options, just have to dig a little. If you don't want to dig/explore, then just walk into whichever spot is in front of you when you're hungry.
Yeah, The Infatuation is brilliant at coming up with list concepts. And what's even better, is that the concepts are actually things you think about but would never want to admit!
(as in...hmmm, I "should" get to know that person better...but will we really enjoy a long dinner? #thirdtierfriend OR this person could be good for business, how do I convey I'm in the know in a not-in-your-face/trying-too-hard way? #waycooler)
