Cosmic Collisions at AMNH

Has anyone seen this space show at the Museum of Natural History? We have a 10 year old and a 60 year old in our group and I just want to find out if this show is good for all ages?

We thought the show was the highlight of our visit to the Museum. A preschooler next to us was absolutely terrified and screaming and an usher removed her straight away. Plenty of younger children than 10 were there and seemed to enjoy it.

I, too, saw it recently and thought it was great--one of the better planetarium shows that I've seen at AMNH. We, too, had a crying toddler at our show. A man sitting next to the baby had enough and told the mother to get the baby out of there. Soon after, she left. Generally speaking, the staff is very strict when it comes to removing disruptive people.

I saw it last Aug. with my 3 boys and we all liked it. It was a nice break to actually "sit" in a nice cool theater, after walking around all day when it was in the high 90's outside....so nice, i fell asleep!...

LOL--I can relate! I fell asleep during the "Dinosaurs" show for the very same reasons!

It's definitely worth it! If you can do both the Cosmic Collisions and the IMAX show (hopefully it's still the dinosaurs!) that would be even better. In addition to being interesting and informative, it was a nice break from all the walking through the rest of the museum.

I've just seen a ticket you can buy through Expedia for £15.11 (for adults) which gives you the following:

Admission to the American Museum of Natural History permanent collection

All special exhibits

Admission to the Planetarium Space Show

I

MAX movie

Admission to the Rose Center for Earth and Space

Thought this seemed good value.
