Where are vehicles allowed in Central Park? Can one take a taxi to the Boathouse?

Thanks for your help!

If health ability is not an issue I'd recommend walking to the Boathouse from central or upper east side locations.

Unfortunately, health/limited mobility is the concern with walking that distance.

The closest a taxi can get to the Boat House is Fifth ave. and 72 st.

While taxis can drive through the park on certain avenues to get from the east side to the west, that won't help you. It's not that far from Fifth & 72 st.

Thanks to both.

Would you say that's about one third of a mile?
