Has anyone an idea how much cigarettes cost for a 20 packet.Is it cheaper to get them in duty free going out or back.

They're outrageously expensive in NYC with all the tax and you probably won't find your brand. Absolutely bring them or buy at duty free.

I quit 2 and half years ago and every time I see the prices of cigs go up - now to about $8 or $9 per a 20-pack - I breathe a big (healthier and richer) sigh of relief!

But I still miss it!

They are 20 bucks a carton at Duty Free. Some of the "upscale" brands are $27. (Dunhill, Cartier etc.)

if you miss duty free you can buy on the plane (but make cost a bit more and you dont have many choices)
