ESTA how long?

Hi I filled my forms in over a week ago and haven t heard anything back yet.How long does it normally take?

If you did it online then the response is usually immediate. You get a visa waiver number straight away. You can always re-apply though if you think you missed the number, or have lost it. I thought I'd lost mine, went back to the ESTA website and filled the online form out again, and got re-issued with new numbers.

Yeah, I got 'approved' immediately. Although it did come with the usual, 'this does not guarantee entrance into the country...'

You either get a positive response straight away, or one telling you to check back after 24 hours with the refererence number they give you.

If you are unsure you can always re-apply, just take note of what the instruction is once application has been submitted and you have verified your passport details!!
