What to wear at Broadway Show

Hi,

What should I wear for a Monday night "Phantom of the Opera" show?

Believe me, after what I saw this past weekend of what people considered clothing to go out and about in "there is ABSOLUTELY NO DRESS CODE IN NYC"

Be comfortable, try to look decent with clean, well fitting clothes.

Wear what you would to church or a party if you want to be a bit fancier otherwise smart casual is the key.

Also, if you're dining out pre or post theater, dress appropriately for the restaurant.

You will see everything from suits and dresses to jeans at a broadway show. But I think Poppa and jiminnc have given you good advice. The best thing to do is go back to the hotel before going out to dinner/show, to freshen up and put on nice clothes. I'd say nice looking and comfortable is the way to go. Dressy clothes are fine, but are absolutely not required.
