Lion King or Wicked?

We will be in New York for a few days and Plan on taking our kids -girl 13 and boy 9 -to one of these shows. They both get great reviews-albeit LK has more. Which would you do?

I'm going to see both when I'm in the city, but I've heard lots of people say that if you can only see one, to make it the Lion King.

Really? people on here absolutely rave about Wicked - its still a hot show and no discounts are available.

The London production of Lion King is very good though I believe

You can't go wrong with either, so go with whatever you can get the best seats for. A minor plot line in Wicked deals with slightly adult topic, trying not to spoil it for you so am being vague. The daytime shows play that scene down a bit knowing kids will be in the audience.

Think the pageantry, staging & music of The Lion King will grab you all and is a better choice for the 9-year-old. And be assured it's not too "young" for the 13-year-old ;-)

Thank you for the advice! Lion King it is - I may need to mortgage my house for four tickets though!
