Be sure to take in a Broadway Show. What kind of food does she like and what is your budget? :O)

No surprise here, I am going to recommend a trip into Brooklyn. The Mark Morris Dance Group has a new building opposite the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Here is their web site where you can find a calendar and get whatever information that you need. http://markmorrisdancegroup.org/

The Mark Morris Dance space is located a block away from the Brooklyn Flea which is open on Saturday and Sunday at the Williamsburg Bank Building [One Hanson Place]

I just meant budget for dinner per person. That way we know what restaurants are in your price range. :O) Which Broadway Show are you seeing? Have you decided?

Oops - too late to edit. I forgot to add that the MMDG is very accessible by public transporation. There are lots of trains that go to the Atlantic Terminal stop including the 2/3/4/5/R and Q.

If you feel like spending some time in the area, you are near Atlantic Avenue which is a great street to walk on. You are also near trendy 5th Avenue in Park Slope, along with the Botanic Gardens, Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum. They are about a 20 minute walk away, or a 5 minute train ride.

LOL Sorry - wanna eat reasonable and cheap, but want to have a couple of nice dinners, its my daughters 18th so want to do something special for her.

Haven't decided on a show yet, seen quite a few in London but guess the experience in New York would be so different. Any recommendations would be grateful.

Thank you for your posts

Wicked is awesome, and I've heard Lion King is good as well although I haven't seen it yet. Mamma Mia is a good, cute show that you can usually get discounted tickets to. Check out these websites for discounted shows:

www.broadwaybox.com

www.playbill.com

Also, for dinner, if you like Mexican, try Toloache before or after your show. They have a vegetarian menu. It's so good! :O)

If you go, try their frutas guacamole! It's really yummy!

Hola.

We are not sure when you will be in NYC, but if you are here starting toward the end of March through mid-May you and your daughter may enjoy a number of dance events at The Juilliard School (dance division) at 60 Lincoln Center Plaza. Many of the performers will be about the same age as your daughter. For more information see:

http://events.juilliard.edu/dance.html

Hope this helps. Your questions are always welcome.

Abrazos,

Matt
