What do you consider a "reasonable place"? What type of food do you prefer? What is your price range?

For American style diner food, try The Cosmic Diner on 8th Ave at 52nd St, very close to the theatre. For Italian, consider Vice Versa at on 51st St, between 8th and 9th Ave.

ViceVersa is a very good call for Italian. It's very close to the theater. They have a prix fixe $22 lunch including appetizer, entree and dessert. You can also just order a la carte.

You MUST make reservations.

Maria Pia is another Italian on the same block that's a few steps closer to the theater but imo not as good.

For American that's nicer than a diner, Thalia is very good and around the corner.

You really need reservations at any of these with the exception of the diner that probably doesn't take reservations.
